King Tackie Tawiah III Coronation
proceeds despite
protest
Accra, April 13, Ghanadot/GNA –
The confusion surrounding the coronation of King Tackie
Tawiah III continues as preparations for the event
gathered steam. There were
feverish preparations at the
grounds of the residence of the Ga Mantse
at Kaneshie today for the Coronation intended to take
place on Saturday.
Reporters
found a busy secretariat
processing accreditations and other documents
for media houses; decorated
sceneries like the setting up of
canopies, arrangement of chairs
and trunks of trees and other fanciful fixtures were
all receiving colorful decorations.
A glance
around also captured Asafoatsemen and other stool elders at
a meeting, deliberating on how
Saturday’s event
should proceed.
A
brief chat with Asafoatse Ahinakwa V and Asafoatse Aboasah
by reporters showed them upbeat
and certain about tomorrow's event.
