Appiah chases Tottenham contract

Ghana midfielder Stephen Appiah is training with Tottenham this week, with a view to earning a permanent move.

The 28-year-old has been without a club since ending his deal with Turkish side Fenerbahce in August and has previously been linked to Arsenal and West Ham.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp said: "He had a bit of a problem with his knee but he is fine now - he's fit and looks OK. If he is fit he's a terrific player. ...... More
