Annor/Coffie to thrill fans at GAABA Championships

Accra, Feb 22, GNA – Edward Annor of the Cassius Amon Nii Quaye Gym and Rahmani Coffie of the Billy Kotey Gym are set to thrill boxing fans in their Lightweight clash of the week two of the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing Association (GAABA) League at the Prison’s Canteen, Cantonments, Accra.

The bout is expected to be a major point of attraction on the bill, as both boxers have exhibited a lot of strength and skills in their previous fights coupled with high level of confidence expressed by their trainers.

The fight is therefore expected to go the full distance and is believed that is the only way to decide the winner for the day.

In other bouts, Samuel Kodjo of the Wisdom Gym would be given a stiff challenge by Eric Addy of the Fit Square Gym, with Black Panther’s Daniel Commey expected to enjoy a safe passage over Yaya Afra Sackey of Sagacious Gym, all in the Lightweight division.

In the Flyweight category, Mathias Sulley of the Square Deal Gym will pitch his strength against Barnabas Tagoe of the Black Panthers in another fight tipped to keep fans on their feet.

Attoh Quarshie Gym’s Annan Ampia will square off with Oblitey Commey of the Square Deal Gym in a Bantamweight clash just as Forster Baffoe of the Dade Gym sort things out with Emmanuel Nee Quaye of the Bronx Gym in the Welterweight division.

Dade Gym’s Paul Kofi’s quest for his first win of the league will see him squaring against Ekow Electric of the Ashaiman Gym in another Welterweight category.
For the Featherweight bout, Bukom Gym’s Abraham Osei Wusu will engage Baba Issah of the Ashaiman Gym whilst Bernard Lartey will come up against Kwesi Atta in an all Fit Square Gym affair.

Isaac Quarshie of the Attoh Quarshie Gym will be up against Akotoku Gym’s Solomon Mensah in the Featherweight division.

In the Light Welterweight division, Benjamin Ashily of the Liase Club will savour to increase the point haul of his Gym as he engages Saviour Tetteh of the Fit Square Gym, whilst Dade Gym’s David Kodjo cannot expect nothing short of stiff opposition from Nii Armah Attoh of Fit Square Gym.

James Adjanor of the Fit Square Gym will contend with Fuseini Yalo of De-Oak’s Gym just as Victor Antwi of the Sagacious Gym take up a similar assignment against De-Oak’s Stephen Abbey in the Middleweight division.

In the Light Heavyweight division, Isaac Cobbinah of the Rangers Gym will sort things out with Mark Adom of De-Oak Gym.
