Joe Tex Frimpong back from long lay
off
Accra, March 3, Ghanadot/GNA –
Ghanaian international Joe Tex Asamoah Frimpong has returned
from injury after a long lay off.
Information gathered by GNA Sports indicates that the Black
Stars striker has in recent times actively participated for
his Swiss side’s exploits and banged in some memorable
goals.
Swiss based Frimpong, currently on a short loan with Luzern
FC from Young Boys FC was on target against FC Sion in the
Swiss league, where he scored two goals and crowned it with
another vintage performance against his original team.
According to the information, the player’s form has kept on
rising after every match and he is looking forward to
another call up to the national team, the Black Stars.
“Joe Tex is keen on making a contribution to the cause of
the Black Stars as they prepare to commence campaign for the
2010 World Cup qualifiers”.
Frimpong bumped unto the scene three years ago when he
helped Nigerian side Enyimba FC to win two consecutive CAF
Champions League titles.
He last played for the Black Stars at the Craven Cottage in
London against the Super Green Eagles of Nigerian where he
helped the Stars to win the match by four goals to one.
