 Black Princesses and Maiden's members honoured

Denkyira Jukwa, (C/R), March 30, Ghanadot/GNA — Mary Baidoo and Margaret Otoo, members of the Black Princesses and the Black Maidens were among 10 sporting personalities honoured by the Jukwa Senior High School to climax the activities of the Second Speech and Prize-Giving Day of the school at Jukwa on Saturday.


For their prizes, the two national female players, who are former students of the school were presented with undisclosed cash prizes.


Miss Rosemond Blay, Central Regional Director of Education commended the players for their outstanding performances.


She appealed to athletes in the school to train harder than before to sustain the success chalked in sports by the school.


The school emerged champions of the Central Regional Milo soccer competition in 2007 while the boys placed second with the girls coming third in the Zonal athletics competition.


According to the headmistress of the School, Miss Regina Ammam, the school produced nine athletes for the Regional team during the Inter-Regional competition held at Koforidua last year.
