Young footballers advised to consider higher education
alongside soccer
By Abdul Salam Sule, Ghanadot
Accra, June 5, Ghanadot - Former
Ghana International, Anthony Baffoe has challenged young
footballers to pursue higher education alongside playing
soccer and it would guarantee them a meaningful life after
football.
Baffoe who was advising some young footballers of Play
Soccer Ghana Goodwill, an NGO noted that, not all
footballers become successful in their chosen career and
pursuing education would enable them pursue other football
related professions or engage in careers outside of
football.
"If I didn't have education I couldn't have done so many
things after my playing career. Playing soccer will thus
enable you to enjoy the game as well as have sound education
and better foundation in life", he advised.
After his retirement from active football, Anthony Baffoe
has had many engagements in football in different capacities
including serving on CAN 2008 Local Organising Committee,
working as FIFA Ambassador for SOS, Match Commissioner for
FIFA and an Ambassador for German sportswear and equipment
firm, Puma.
