Hearts wins President cup
By Awudu Salami Sule

Accra Hearts of oak has this evening been crowned as the winners of the President cup which was played at the Ohene Djan stadium in Accra.
Hearts of Oak secured the victory after a penalty shootout with Sekondi Eleven Wise which ended 5-4.

The game ended goalless after the first half. But it was Eleven Wise who had the opener in the early stages of the second half through Winfred Domon and Accra Hearts of Oak had the equaliser through Eric Gawu.

Both teams failed to clinch victory after full time and the referee settled for a penalty shootout.

Supporters of Accra Hearts Oak have seen the win as jinx being broken. This was after the team has failed to win any match after playing six games in the Glo Premiere league.

Many dignitaries were at the Ohene Djan sports stadium to grace the occasion and it included the Vice President, Mr John Dramani Mahama.
