By Awudu Salami Sule

The Premier League Board (PLB) has fined three premier league clubs for various violations of football regulations during match-day-29 in the Glo Premier League.
Real Tamale United, Accra Hearts of Oak and Berekum Arsenals would all pay fines for breaches during last weekend's round of matches.

A fourth club, AshantiGold, have their case referred to the sport body's Disciplinary Committee.

FINES

(i) R.T.U. player No. 9 Alhassan Weah was reported to have broken an egg at the centre of the playing field when they played Hasaacas in Sekondi. R.T.U. has therefore been fined Five Hundred Ghana Cedis (GH¢500.00). The fine should be paid in accordance with Article 39.8 of the FA Regulations.

(ii) Hearts of Oak has been fined One Thousand, Two Hundred and Fifty Ghana Cedis (GH¢1,250.00) for delaying kick off of their match against Arsenal at the Golden City Park, Berekum. Hearts should pay the fine in accordance with Article 39.8 of the Regulations.

(iii) Berekum Arsenals has been fined One Thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢1000.00) for the unruly behaviour of their supporters towards the match officials.

(iv) Ashantigold S.C. would be referred to the Disciplinary Committee for the unruly behaviour of its supporters which led to the throwing of tear gas and the injury of the Police officer on duty.

In a related development,Tema Youth have been ducked six points and six goals by the Disciplinary Committee from their accumulated tally on the Glo Premier League standings.

The Disciplinary Committee’s decision is as result of two cases brought against the Tema side by Berekum Arsenals and Eleven Wise over the eligibility of player, Emmanuel Clottey.

Both clubs – Arsenals and Wise -, who lodged the protest have thus been credited with three points and three goals apiece.
