GYEEDA  -NOTES ON CORRUPTION

1. How did Gyeeda receive between 2009-2012 over GHC1bn or (10 trillion) without notice of all including the Presidency?

2. In light of violation of various laws- Financial Administration Act, Financial Administration Regulations, Procurement Act, article 181 of the 1992 constitution, the criminal code, etc, how did they pass the scrutiny of the Ministry of Finance, Ministry responsible of Youth, the Controller and Accountants Generals Department, Bank of Ghana, Auditor General, etc?

3. How did they make interest free loans to service providers? rlG for example was given GHC50,000 interest free loans.

4. In 2012 alone, Gyeeda spent GHC450million (4.5trillion old Cedis). Also in 2012, Ministry of Finance alone released GHC220million to Gyeeda (2.2trillion).

5. Gyeeda owed Better Ghana Management Services (BGMS) GHC259million (2.59trillion) at interest of 100% a month or 1200% a year. While Gyeeda owed BGMS, they were giving interest free loans to the AGAMS Group.

6. Individuals owed up to eight (8) service contracts.

7. Gyeeda hired a finance director who lacked training and experience.

GYEEDA SERVICE PROVIDERS REFUND GHC14.5MILLION?

The Deputy Attorney General, Dominic Ayini, said last week that Gyeeda Service Providers had refund GHC14.5million

The Attorney Generals department agreed with the AGAMS Group to refund 55million cedis at installment of 14.5million cedis every quarter, beginning January 2014.

As at the last month of 2014, the deputy Attorney General has confirmed the refund of only 14.5million. This means that, after payment of the first quarter, rlg and the sister companies have not paid any of the money.

This means also that Zoomlion and BGMS have not paid a pesewa of the GHC140million they were also supposed to refund to the state.

As far as SADA is concerned, nothing has been done about it. More than a year after the rot was exposed. No single individual has been called to account for the money stole or wasted.
