NHIS assures all providers of
payments
Accra, Jan. 9, Ghanadot/GNA - The National Health
Insurance Authority (NHIA) on Friday reiterated its
commitment to all providers that it would settle all
vetted bills submitted by accredited providers.
A statement signed by Mr. Ras Boateng, Chief Executive
Officer of the Authority, said it had come to its notice
that some accredited private providers of the insurance
were refusing to render services to health insurance
subscribers.
“The NHIA wishes to assure all providers that the
payments to them are part of the NUIS statutory payments
and therefore reiterates its commitment to all providers
in settling all vetted bills submitted by accredited
providers as always,” it said.
It, therefore, urged all registered members of the
scheme to go to any accredited facility for treatment
with their health insurance card and they would be
served.
