Accra, June 16, Ghanadot - The Managing Director of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation (GNPC) Moses Oduro Boateng has been sacked.

Mr. Oduro Boateng who served with the GNPC for seven years was asked by the Energy Minister to proceed on leave effective this month.

He said the Minister of Energy, Dr. Oteng Adjei signed a letter asking him to take his accumulated leave.

The former GNPC boss speaking on Citi FM explained that although he is due for resumption in August, discussions with the minister so far shows that he would not return to his former position.

According to him, “all things being equal I am supposed to resume on the 5th of August but from other discussions I know that I am not going back”

Meanwhile, the Energy minister has asked Mr. Boakye Asafo Adjei to act as new Managing Director of the GNPC.
