NPP chairman shot dead

Accra, June 20, Ghanadot - A New Patriotic Party (NPP) first Vice Chairman in the Dome Kwabenya constituency has been killed by armed robbers.

Patrick Opoku Baah was shot dead early Thursday at his residence at Taifa.

His guest, a German national known only as Klaus also sustained gunshot wounds and has been admitted to the 37 Military Hospital.

Explaining to Ghanadot, the wife of the deceased Beatrice Opoku Baah said the robbers took her son hostage and used her to gain access to their bedroom.

Mr. Opoku Baah,68, according to the wife was shot three times by three men who broke into his house and made away with some of his personal belongings.
