Kufuor now Ambassador for WFP
Hunger and Disaster

Accra, July 15, Ghanadot - The
World Food Programme (WFP) has appointed former President
John Agyekum Kufuor as an Ambassador Against Hunger.
A statement issued by the former president’s office
indicated that he will work for The Hunger Project and will
be an Ambassador Against Hunger and Disaster.
The Ex-president will be sworn into office this Thursday.
Mr. Kufuor will be based in Ghana and will be travelling to
disaster areas and places where his ambassadorial duties are
needed.
According to the press secretary of ex-president, Mr. Frank
Agyekum, the outside world has recognized the good work of
the former president and by him becoming an Ambassador will
give them the chance to tap into his experience.
“His good works as the president of this country has been
acknowledged by the world especially the World Bank, IMF and
other foundations are tapping into his rich experience that
is why he has been given this all important appointment”.
He added that the former president has displayed a lot of
goodwill and exemplary leadership that is why he is getting
a lot of job offers across the world.
Accra, July 15, Ghanadot - The Supreme Court
yesterday unanimously ruled that the Electoral Commission
(EC) will have to re-run elections at six polling centres in
the Akwatia Constituency of the Eastern Region......
