Air Marshall Otu finally laid to rest
Accra Jan. 14, Ghanadot.com – After a tortuous burial
ceremony, the family of the late Air Marshal Michael Akuoku
Out have interred their own at their his family vault at
Adukrom Akuapem in the Eastern Region after well attended a
burial service at the local Presbyterian Church.
Reporters on the scene said the ashes of the late Marshal's
ashes was sheathed in a casket draped in the national
colours of red, gold and green with the black star in the
middle, was borne by a gun-carrier.
The burial was attended by thousand of mourners who declined
Friday's air crash of the remains of the Air Marshall who
hailed the late Air Marshal Otu as a man who lived and died
for his nation.
Lieutenant-General Joseph Boakye Danquah the Chief of
Defence Staff, led a large contingent of Ghana Airfocemen
and regular Army officers, reflecting the two units the late
Air Marshal served during his time in the military.
The Reverend Herbert Opong, of the Presbyterian Church of
Ghana (PCG), in his sermon said while it would be very
difficult to claim to give thanks to God in the midst of
such turbulence. But stressed that God always has a way in
the midst of all circumstances and he will bring respite to
sorrowing families affected by tragedy.
