According to a cross section of the community including sufferers who spoke to the GNA on conditions of anonymity, Opanin Appiah has used his herbal medicine to cure more than 33 patients.

Some staff of the government clinic at Bayerebon No 5, an endemic area, confirmed to the GNA that some patients referred to the clinic as well as the Saint Martin's Catholic Hospital at Agroyesum went to Opanin Appiah and have all been cured by the herbalist.

Mrs Belinda Baffoe-Bonnie, the District Director of Ghana Health Services, advised him to send his herbal preparation to the Centre for Scientific Research into Plant Medicine at Mampong-Akwapim for laboratory analysis.
