NDC question some registration forms

Accra, Aug 9, Ghanadot/GNA – National Democratic Congress (NDC) says it has come to its notice that fake forms have been introduced into the registration exercise at various centres throughout the country.

The party is also calling on the Electoral Commission (EC) to immediately rectify the situation in order to bring some sanity into the process.

A statement issued and signed by the party’s National Organizer, Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, said the fake forms are without serial numbers and as such do not tally with the forms that have already been released into the system by the EC.

It said without serial numbers, tracking those forms will be difficult for party agents to monitor and this would create credibility problems for the entire voters register.

The statement said NDC is disturbed that there had not been any communication whatsoever, either directly or through Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC), about the introduction of such forms.

The party is therefore asking its agents to keep proper records of all proceedings at the registration centres.
