Education and Job Creation are my core policies - Nduom
Audrey Micah, Ghanadot

Accra, November 25, Ghanadot - The presidential candidate of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom has promised Ghanaians that a CPP administration led by him will reintroduce free, compulsory education in every region of the country.

He said this time the free and compulsory education will start from kindergarten to senior high school and make it continuous so that every child in Ghana can get a good education. To him to make this dream possible he will build complete school compounds that have classrooms, toilet and kitchen facilities, libraries, computer and science laboratories, sports facilities and houses for the teachers in every community to make teaching and learning attractive to both teachers and students.

According to him, when voted into power, he will ensure that proper fish landing facilities exist with modern fishing harbours that include decent places for our women to process fish and a fishing research and boat repair center.

Dr. Nduom added that a CPP administration will ensure that no government official interferes in the sale and distribution of pre-mix fuel and that the CPP will also act with a sense of urgency to protect our fishing grounds from the illegal activities of the big and mostly foreign fishing trawlers. He said his party plans to support our local fishermen to also acquire bigger, modern fishing trawlers so that we can develop big business people in the industry.

On tourism, Dr. Nduom assured Ghanaians that his government will ensure that tourism is given the necessary financial support to improve tourism in Ghana. This includes ensuring that an airstrip is constructed within two years to support tourism activities and see to its development to become a full scale tourist airport within five years.

He maintained that a CPP government will support the private sector through financial incentives and joint venture arrangements with government to establish processing factories for the orange, pineapple, lime and other agricultural raw materials to create jobs and ensure a better livelihood for our farmers.

“Farmers and fishermen will all enjoy the pension scheme we intend to implement for the self-employed and their workers”.

According to Dr. Nduom, his government will revive and support the old factories and where necessary provide alternative factories to provide employment for Ghanaian.

He said a CPP administration will provide the financial and technical support for the development of a Technology Center in the country’s universities to promote learning.

He urged Ghanaians to vote the CPP to power so that the party can be able to implement their strategies to better the lot of Ghanaians
