NDC poised to win, say Campaign Coordinator
Audrey Micah, Ghanadot

Accra, Dec 12, Ghanadot - The Campaign Coordinator of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Alex Segbefia has stated that the NDC has invented a more focused targeted approach to ensure they win power come December 28.

According to him, his party have easy task ahead since Ghanaians have already bought their idea of change, adding that the number of seats the party has in Parliament is also an advantage for them to win.

He maintained that between the two contestants, Nana Akuffo Addo of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and Professor Mills their candidate, “we believe we have a candidate whose records and his abilities speak for themselves and I think that is we have headway in this race”.

“The message have gone round and the way we analyze it is that strong holds rarely vote on issues, they vote on political line, so when you have Ashanti voting because of predominantly NPP and Volta and parts of north voting because of NDC.

“They don’t necessarily give you the true picture of what is happening on the ground, but the other regions do because they vote on issues and Greater Accra, Central and Western regions have demonstrated that they are going with the message that the NDC have then it’s clear to many of us”.

Mr. Segbefia disclosed that the NPP is throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians by making the nation believe that the four independent candidates who will be joining the next Parliament are on the side of the party, adding that “I have head that there is no such agreement”.

He said the party will be working hard in the Ashanti, Western and the Eastern regions and make sure that the voter turn-out across the regions which have swung actually increases because they believe that there are more voters who are going to vote for change.

The campaign coordinator of the NDC reiterated that the wind of change has definitely taken roots, and that “it is clear that 51 percent of Ghanaians have rejected the NPP story and it is clear that come December 28, we are definitely going the NPP a shock of their lives”.
