NPP UER campaign team inaugurated
Bolgatanga, June 24, Ghanadot/GNA- Dr Kofi Konadu Apraku,
the NPP National Campaign Team Director, on Monday
inaugurated the Upper East Regional New Patriotic Party (NPP),
Campaign Team.
The regional campaign team, which is under the chairmanship
of Mr. Ahmed Tahiru, the NPP regional chairman, is also made
up of Mr. Alhassan Samari, the Regional Minster, Mrs. Agnes
Chigabatia, deputy Regional Minister and Mr. Mohamoud Mahama,
NPP regional organizer, Mr. Boniface Gambilla, former Upper
East regional Minister, and Mr. Moses Abare, former Bawku
West district chief executive.
Others are Mr. Rockson Bukari, former municipal district
chief executive for Bolgatanga, Mr. George Minyila, former
ambassador to Burkina Faso, Mr. Godfred Koyiba, the regional
secretary of the party and Ms Nichiama Hawa, the NPP
regional women’s organizer.
The rest are Mr. Tanimu Mohammed, Mr. Paul Afoko, Ms Mary
Abagna Adokuma, Ms Paullina Abayage and Mr. Randy Agana, all
members of the party.
Dr Apraku urged NPP members to bury their differences, unite
and work together to ensure a resounding victory for the
party in the 2008 Election.
He told the campaign team and party supporters to work
assiduously to enable the party maintain power saying the
NPP Government had chalked a lot of successes which was
impacting positively on the lives of Ghanaians.
Dr Apraku said the only thing needed was for Ghanaians to be
told about the achievement of the party and urged the
campaign team and party supporters to spread the good
policies of the NPP Government to the electorate.
He pleaded with the feuding factions in Bawku to burry their
differences and allow peace to return to the area and not to
compromise the future of the youth with conflict and
destruction.
Alhaji Musah Abdul-Rahaman, NPP second national vice
chairman, urged the regional campaign team and supporters of
the party to encourage people to register if the voters
register was reopened.
Mr. Alhassan Samari urged members of the party to rise above
their personal interest and seek the success of the party to
enable it to win the December polls.
He said “It is better to face opposition in your own party
than face opposition in a different party”, and appealed to
the campaign team to work hard to win more supporters for
the party.
