NPP youth urged not to worry about opposition propaganda

Larteh-Akuapem, Nov. 27, Ghanadot/GNA - The Deputy Minister of Defence, Mr William Ofori-Boafo, has called on the youth of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) not to be worried about negative things opposition political parties were saying on radio that sought to downplay the achievements of the NPP.

He said it was only the NPP that could guarantee them a bright future.
Mr Boafo, who was speaking at the inauguration of the Larteh Youth Wing of the party, said the NPP had improved the lot of the country during its short stay in power.

Mr Boafo, who is also the Member of Parliament for Akropong Constituency, said the works of the NPP were living testimony for all to see.

"People who are saying NPP has not done anything better for Ghanaians and that they don't see anything are saying so because they are refusing to see."

A leading member of NPP, Mr Fred Yeboah, refuted perception that NPP was loosing the trust of Ghanaians and that that over 12,000 membership cards had been sold from January to November this year alone.

He said there was every indication that NPP would win the coming election and called for hard work and vigilance on the part of every party member to ensure that the party achieved that.

The Eastern Regional Youth organizer of the party, Mr Ahmed Yusif, advised the youth to use the party structures to resolve any difference.

The President of the Larteh Youth Wing, Mr Dennis Aboagye, thanked the leaders for their support in the formation of the wing and pledged their resolve to double both the 2004 parliamentary and presidential elections results of the NPP in the constituency.
