Sulley stuns Tetteh at GAABA Championships

Accra, Oct 4, Ghanadot/GNA – Mathias Sulley of Square Deal Gym claimed a major historic win at the ongoing 3rd edition of the Greater Accra Amateur Boxing League (GAABA) last Friday with a split decision win over Nii Ofoli Tetteh of Fit Square Gym in their Featherweight clash.

Sulley, a consistent loser at the championship since its inception three years ago, stunned all with a much improved performance to outclass the highly rated Tetteh.

After the stipulated four rounds, the result went in favour of Sulley much to the surprise of Tetteh, who had hoped for a return to winning ways after losing to Joshua Barnor of Panix Gym a fortnight earlier.

In the Light welterweight division, Michael Ansah of Square Deal Gym stopped Felix Agbozo of Ashaiman Gym in the third round with Ebenezer Tetteh of Sonia Gym also replicating a similar feat over Sampson Dzaku of Akotoku Gym in the Light heavyweight contest.
