Coach Tetteh keeping faith in striking pair

Satellite’s trainer, Sallas Tetteh is keeping faith in the
quality of the striking pair of Ransford Osei and Dominic
Adiyiah ahead of the team’s knockout duel against South Africa
on Tuesday.
The duo have six goals between them and Coach Tetteh says the
quality of the pair will be on stage regardless of who the
Satellites come up against as the tourney that piece 24 teams
together progresses.
He told GNA Sports in Ismailia: “I have absolute faith in
Ransford and Dominic and I even keep that confidence when they
are not doing so well in a game because their quality have
thought me that even when all is not well, they are able to
spring a surprise.”
Both players have scored thrice each of the eight goals scored
by Ghana and are touted by pundits as the deadliest striking
pair in the tourney that reaches the knockout stage on Monday.
Whiles it appears Coach Tetteh will keep his attacking line
unchanged, the same cannot be said about the other positions.
Tetteh made three changes to his starting 11 side that won the
first two group games and though the team laboured in the last
group game against Uruguay, the manager believes the changes
were just what the team required.
He said starting Daniel Opare, Ghandy Kassenu and Abieku Quansah
in place of Samuel Inkoom, David Addy and Opoku Agyeman against
Uruguay was all he needed to test his options.
“I see nothing wrong with the changes I made to the starting
line-up, because the boys did the best they could and that also
helped me with the option.”
He said his charges would lift up the work rate of the team as
they step up against Group F’s lucky third placed South Africa
at the Ismailia Stadium on Tuesday.
Hopefully, the African Champions will have worked on their
regular loss of concentration, which the coach described as a
worry before the “African meeting” on Tuesday, October 6.
