Reindorf wins "Alan" Cycling Race

Accra, Oct. 7, Ghanadot/GNA - Philip Reindorf of Nippon Cycling Club produced a last minute finishing power to win the 'Alan Super Cycling' Race held at Osu in Accra on Saturday.


28-year-old Reindorf, who trailed behind the other 55 seasoned riders, galloped at the finishing stretch to win the 80-kilometre race in one hour, 51 minutes.


Francis Tetteh of City Migro took the second position two seconds later with the third position going to Samuel Anim of Young Stars.


Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyeremateng, former Minister of Trade, Industry, and Private Sector Development/President's Special Initiative and a Presidential aspirant of the New Patriotic Party, who sponsored the event, later presented the 'Alan Super Cup' and other prizes to the winners.


He charged the youth to take active interest in the sport to enable them win laurels for themselves and the nation.
