Mrs. Doris Naa Lamiley Asherker Decker passes on

Dear ​Onukpai and ​A​nyemimei,

The sad passage of ​Mrs. Doris Naa Lamiley Asherker Decker (nee Nylander) of the OAA 1950 Year Group has been announced in Accra. Mrs. Decker ​p​assed away on Friday, April 15th, 2016 in Accra.

​Mrs. Doris Decker worked for the Ghana Library Board as a Librarian. Her late ​parents are the Hon. C. T. Nylander, Ghana's Education Minister during the First Republic, and Mrs. Nylander (nee Nuno) who were prominent members of Accra society.

The late​ ​Mrs. Doris Decker​ ​is survived by her children: Stephen Decker, Michael Sonny Decker (UK), Mrs. Caroline Otoo (Bank of Ghana), Francis Decker (Orica Ghana, Ltd); her siblings: Mrs. Hannah Evans-Lutterodt, Mrs. Naa Choi Ocquaye, Mrs. Iris Mensa-Annan, and Mr. Ladikpo (Ladi) Nylander; grandchildren, cousins, nephews, nieces, and grandnephews and grandnieces.

Funeral arrangments are as follows:

Laying in State: Thursday, May 5th, 2016 from 4:00 am to 8:00 am at her residence - Hse No B25713, Oblogo Rd, Lartebiokoshie, Accra. (There will be no wake.)

Funeral and Memorial Service: Thursday, May 5th, 2016 from 9:00 am at the Cathedral Church of the Most Holy Trinity, High Street, Accra

Burial: Thursday, May 5th, 2016 at the Gethsemane Memorial Gardens, Shiashie, East Legon

Final Funeral Rites: following burial at the Barclays Bank Club House, Independence Ave, Accra

Dress Code: Black and white

Our sincere sympathy goes to ​Mrs. Doris​ Decker​'​s​ children, siblings and entire Decker, Nylander, Nuno and Vanderpuije families of Ghana and abroad.

May ​Mrs. Doris Decker'​s​ dearest and beloved soul rest in eternal peace.
