How Europe Succeeded to Make Africans Happy about their Colonization
Mawuna Remarque KOUTONIN

March 16, 2015

Though they wish, Europeans don’t have the physical capacity to occupy Africa. Africa is too big, too vast and too diverse. However, Europe has the power to ideologically occupy Africa. They have chosen that road and it’s giving them even better results, than physical occupation.

At the moment I’m writing this post, colonial Europe is doubling down on their ideological occupation by investing heavily into their main propaganda channels like BBC, RFI, CNN.

The British government spends every year 600 millions euros on BBC World Service (the international propaganda branch of the BBC). And, every week, that World Service reaches 96 millions people in Africa, the biggest audience for the channel.

Now Ask yourself, why would the British government spend 600 millions euros EVERY YEAR on informing African people?

As Carter G. Woodson put it “If you can control a man’s thinking you do not have to worry about his action. When you determine what a man shall think you do not have to concern yourself about what he will do. If you make a man feel that he is inferior, you do not have to compel him to accept an inferior status, for he will seek it himself. If you make a man think that he is justly an outcast, you do not have to order him to the back door. He will go without being told; and if there is no back door, his very nature will demand one.”

Now, here comes: France.

Every year France spends 273 millions euros in 3 international propaganda medias: 140 millions euros in Radio France Internationale (which reaches every week 40 millions people mainly in Africa); 80 millions euros on France 24 (the wannabe French CNN, which reach every week 45 millions people, largely in Africa); and 63 millions euros in TV5, a channel for
spreading French language and French speaking countries culture in the world, which reaches about 55 millions people weekly, largely in Africa too.

Again, ask yourself, why would the French government spend 273 millions euros EVERY YEAR on informing African people?

The answer is simple. There Is A War On Your Mind!

As George Orwell put it “The most effective way to destroy people is to deny and obliterate their own understanding of their history”, and those medias, in disguise of informing and entertaining the African people, have only one Agenda: corrupt our understanding of ourselves, our reality and the world, by implanting in our young people mind ideas and concepts that ultimately leads us to believe in what ever will follow up in period of political or economical crisis.

The logic behind the massive medias domination in Africa by these Western powers is to prepare the Africans for a subservient role in this world. It’s a process of dehumanisation like Steve Biko put it some time ago.

“The most powerful weapon in the hands of the oppressor is the mind of the oppressed” - Steve Biko

From Genghis Khan to Hitler, they know that once you have won the propaganda war, it’s easier to conquer any nation.

“The shepherd always tries to persuade the sheep that their interests and his own are the same.” ~ Marie-Henri Beyle.

African elite now gets 100% of their information from Europeans. If something happens in Lagos or Accra, they’d get the news from CNN or BBC.

“We become slaves the moment we hand the keys to the definition of reality entirely over to someone else, whether it is a business, an economic theory, a political party, the White House, Newsworld or CNN.” ~B.W. Powell.

African governments should take strong actions to restrict the broadcasting of foreign propaganda in their territory.

Africa intellectuals should get out of their comfort zone and join the front line of offensive intellectual independence.

Any country which doesn’t print its own dictionary is a colonized one or will be soon!

He who defines, rules.

Words are the building blocks of reality. The reality belongs to those who manufacture the blocks!

As Marimba Ani put it “Your culture is your immune system”, once it’s taken away from you, you become defenseless, vulnerable. That’s the reason why the enemies of Africa are investing so much in destroying its immune system.
