ALAN KYEREMATEN HAS GOOD INTENTIONS FOR GHANA - NATIONAL CHIEF IMAM

The National Chief Imam, Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu last Friday received a New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential hopeful and former Minister for Trade, Industries and PSI under the erstwhile Kufuor administration, Mr. Alan John Kyerematen, who paid a courtesy call on him at his New Fadama residence in Accra.

The National Chief Imam said that the visit of Mr. Alan John Kyerematen and members of his campaign team overwhelmed him.

He stressed that ‘I consider Alan as my son and it is very significant for anyone to make donations in this Holy month of Ramadan. I appreciate his visit and good intentions for this country, and I know, God will fulfil his wishes”.

On his part, Mr. Alan Kyerematen noted that it has always been a tradition for him, and also in the spirit of Ramadan to make an annual donation to the Muslim community.

To him, the philosophy underpinning Ramadan demands that one ought to give charity to the less privilege in society.

He stated that the National Chief Imam is like a father to him and has always been very supportive of his career. He thanked the Chief Imam for his continuous support and the privilege to receive him.

Mr. Alan John Kyerematen stressed that “God-willing, if I am able to become President, I shall rely on you for your continuous support and prayers”.

He also commended the National Chief Imam for his devotion and selflessness towards National reconciliation and wished all Muslims a Happy Ramadan.

Mr. Alan John Kyerematen then donated several gallons of cooking oil, bags of rice and sugar to the National Chief Imam.

The National Chief Imam offered prayers for him and wished him well.

Sadly, the internet lends itself to sneak attacks that might go undiscovered for months.....Perhaps, we all should share some of the blame for this ridiculous state of affairs; for we have been probably too tolerant and possibly too discerning in the face of blatant mediocrity.. .......More

Why I am not for reparation

Commentary, July 04, Ghanadot - But if you didn’t notice what happened under Affirmative Action, the Civil Rights Acts and 40 Acres and a Mule, you would not likely be apprehensive about the new demand for reparation and the many minority claimants on the program to pop out! . .....More
