SUBAH vs. TELECOS
The Alliance for Accountable Governance is worried about
the continuous involvement of particular Ghanaian
business and their owner in everyday issue that bothers
on corruption. Be it as it may, it is obviously clear
that government is simply bereft with what to do, and
how to go about this epidemic of crass corruption
engulfing this country.
Mr. President is about time you stop honey mooning with
words, and come to terms with deeds. Indeed, the current
issues surrounding SUBAH Info Solutions is one a kind
that the whole society is interested in who caused what,
where, how and when. AFAG will not hold brief for SUBAH
info solutions but it is also evident that, the
telecommunication agencies are not to be glorified with
their overt interest in profit making and continuous
repatriation of hard earned foreign currencies abroad.
Where other businesses have been involved in issues
which are unclear to AFAG, we have stood by the interest
of the masses in calling for investigations. Ghanaians
should have true value for our money and every pesewas
must be accounted for irrespective of who collude and
connive with who to cause the mess.
Mr. President, many businesses have suffered and
continue to suffer from the hands of persons who chose
to provide selective social advocacy and justice. Fair
or not, the society has not been helped by the
indecision on the part of the President in cracking the
whip, and or laying bare the issues for Ghanaians to
fathom. Therefore the question arises, how long shall
businesses receive genuine or unfair bashing from
persons eager to see justice or playing the ostrich?
AFAG in 2010 broke the news on the installation of
devices at the National Communication Authority (NCA)
and telecos operating sites by the Global Voices Group (GVG)to
monitor the international gateway project. We are very
keen on the issues raised against SUBAH info solutions.
AFAG is expectant of government to conduct and make
public its findings on this SUBAH Info payments.
Failure, we will lay bare to the public what is up our
sleeves.Sanity must prevail in the telecommunication
industry.
God bless Ghana.
