DISCLAIMER - from MICHAEL OKYERE BAAFI, an NPP parliamentary aspirant (New Juaben South)

My attention has been drawn to a video on social media and some media outlets that “I am going round demanding my monies back from the delegates”

I wish to state in clear and unequivocal terms that, the content of the said video does not in any way reflect what exactly happened on the grounds. It has mischievously been pieced together and misinterpreted to dent my image and should therefore be treated with disdain and with utmost contempt.

This is clearly nothing but an evil machination and orchestration by doom mongers who seek to use all means possible to cause mayhem and divide our ranks as a party.

Thus, the claim that I angrily went to people to demand my money back cannot be true because I never paid any delegate to vote for me. In the full glare of the public, I registered my displeasure in the conduct of the Chairman of the Constituency Election Committee; who also doubles as the Chair of the council of elders for NPP, New Juaben South for openly engaging in vote buying and campaigning for the incumbent.

Such evil acts will promote disunity and apathy which could break our front as a party and must be condemned and discouraged. As the father of the party in the constituency he must be neutral and help close our ranks for victory 2016.

I employ all my supporters to continue to remain calm in the face of open provocation and rally behind Dr. Assibey Yeboah and Nana Addo for victory 2016. I have personally called Hon. Dr. Assibey Yeboah to congratulate him and pledged my full support to him to ensure that our Great party secures political power come December 2016.

God Bless the NPP

…SIGNED…

MICHAEL OKYERE BAAFI

Hillary and History

Commentary, June 25, Ghanadot - This is one of the painful but inescapable signs of our time. There is nothing in her history that would qualify her for the presidency, and much that should disqualify her. What is even more painful is that none of that matters politically. Many people simply want "a woman" to be president, and Hillary is the best-known woman in politics, though by no means the best qualified......More
