When NPP Promises, We Deliver - Alan Kyerematen

A former Minister of Trade & Industry and Presidential Special Initiative under the erstwhile NPP administration, Mr. Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has disclosed that the next NPP government would ensure massive development in the northern regions.

The former ambassador to the United States, made this revelation in Pwalungu when he joined the flagbearer of the party, Nana Addo Akufo-Addo, and other party officials to rally support for the party's parliamentary candidate, Mr. Thomas Duanab Wuni who is contesting the Talensi Constituency by-election scheduled for July 7.

"I want to assure you that if you make our candidate the Member of Parliament and Nana Addo the President in 2016, I will support Nana Addo to make sure that we establish a Groundnut Processing factory for the Upper East Region" Mr. Kyerematen told the teeming young people in the Talensi Constituency over the weekend. He said unlike the NDC, the NPP delivers on its promises.

The party stalwart whose mantra is touted as "Job for the People, Cash for the People" revived hope in the youth admonishing them to vote overwhelmingly for the party to win power and create more jobs for the people. Mr. Kyerematen recounted the NPPs hardwork in bringing back the Pwalungu Tomato factory which has been collapsed by the NDC stating that under the next NPP government, the party would enliven the defunct factory. He noted that the economy has become so unbearable that the NDC government must be shown the exit door for the real managers to take over the affairs of the country. Mr. Alan Kyerematen said a better economy would bring cash to the people.

The by-election has become necessary following the enskinment of the MP for the area Robert Nachinab Mosore as chief of the Tolon traditional area who resigned as Member of Parliament.

IMF and World Bank are against Ghana - former UK Ambassador

Commentary, July 04, Ghanadot - Obviously the sight of truly successful public owned and run enterprise was too much of a threat to the neo-liberal ideologues of the IMF and World Bank. When Ghana needed some temporary financial assistance (against a generally healthy background) the IMF insisted that VRA be broken up. .....More

MS NEW EC BOSS, NO NEW REGISTER, NO VOTE!

Release, June 26, Ghanadot - By this, the lawyer, who until her new appointment was the Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education, could be in charge of Ghana’s electoral administration body for the next 28 years or so. This calls for a person of utmost integrity and that can only be determined by her actions and leadership.....We have no problem with Mrs Osei personally, even though her political leanings towards the ruling party has been very clear over the last six or so years, at least. ......More

The foreign currency conundrum

Commentary, July 04, Ghanadot - It was a worldview under President Kufuor that accepted the fact that we were broke, that in order to develop we needed to come out clean from debt. This view brought relief from HIPC and that also brought us the awareness that it didn't pay to acquire debt that we couldn’t pay. .....More
