Press Release

NPP

September 24, 2013

Repercussions of the judgment for our democracy, judiciary and future elections. No politics, just law.

The election petition proceedings were broadcast live for all to follow. The judgment though, has still raised several questions:

· "Did a majority of the court say over-voting does not matter?

· What is the difference between over-voting and ballot stuffing?

· Did the court really ignore an entrenched provision of the 1992 Constitution?

· Did the court say voting without biometric verification was okay?"

All these and a host of other questions will be answered, at a symposium to be held at the National Theatre, tomorrow, Wednesday, September 25th from 5:30pm.

Civil society, political parties and the general public are invited to be part of this landmark event.

Come and join law professors and renowned legal practitioners do an intellectual review of the case to help strengthen our democracy.

Entry is free. Come early to secure a seat. Questions and comments will be taken from the audience.

You may also send them in through our email address: symposium@danquahinstitute.org

The case is over but its consequences are not. Be at the National Theatre, tomorrow Wednesday, 5:30pm to listen to the repercussions of the judgment for our democracy, judiciary and future elections. No politics, just law.

Long Live our democracy, Long live Ghana.
