DONATIONS FROM OKLAHOMA GHANAIAN COMMUNITY GROUP TO KORLE BU STROKE UNIT

 

Ghanaian Community:


Dear Community Members, ( Mr. Albert D. Kotey and Pastor Henry Johnson will be in Ghana to deliver )

Happy 59th Independence Anniversary!! It is with great pleasure that Iinform you of OKGCG's next donation to the Korle-Bu Stroke Unit! As Oklahoma Ghanaians, our community advances its commitment to support stroke victims in our country Ghana.

 

Next month, OKGCG delegates will be presenting to the stroke unit the following medical supplies;*

*5 - portable Patient Monitors with accompanying stand rolls*
*4 - Feeding Pumps (in addition to the 2 that were donated in 2015)*
*120 - Feeding Bags*
*2 - Digital Blood Pressure Monitors (in addition to 4 already donated in
2015)*
*3 - Tetrapod Canes*
*3 - Stability Balls (sizes: 75 cm, 65 cm, 55 cm)*
*8 - Nitrile Gloves boxes (Large, Medium and Small)*
*15 - Thera-Bands in 5 boxes of 3*
*5 - Kinesiotapes*
*2 - Wheel chairs (Used)*
*4 - Walkers (Used - 2 large, 2 medium)*
*1000 - Stroke Information sheets for distribution to patient families*

As always, OKGCG welcomes the involvement of the community in its endeavors therefore, *we call on anyone who may be in Ghana in April (next month) to join the delegation in presenting these resources to the stroke unit. *Even if you are not able to make it during the presentation, you may still get to visit the stroke unit with our Executive Officer(s) as they interact
with the staff of the unit on another day during their stay in Ghana.

 

 OKGCG wants to continue this humanitarian mission in Ghana for as long as it takes therefore, we call on* you to generously donate this year to our next project *which may either be in another unit in Korle-Bu or in another hospital in Ghana depending on the *involvement of volunteers* who will assist Executive Officers in planning. Therefore, we call on you to commit your time and connections to a worthy cause.
