Government to move Greater Accra Regional Capital to Dodowa
Dodowa, (G/R) Feb. 12, GNA- Sheikh Ibrahim Cudjoe Quaye,
Greater Accra Regional Minister, on Monday performed a
ground- breaking ceremony to commence projects that would
transform Dodowa in the Dangbe West District into the
regional capital.
" Government is going transform Dodowa into a city
comparable to Abuja, capital of Nigeria," he said as cut the
sod to commence works on a four-billion- cedi pavilion that
would serve as commemorative park for the region.
The project, which is being funded by Ghana @ 50 secretariat
is expected to be completed in six months.
Mr. Mike Adjowerh-Nortey, District Chief Executive said the
pavilion would comprise a conference and concert halls would
enhance the image of the town.
"It will also bring development to the District," he said.
