Physically Challenged receive wheelchairs

Accra Nov. 29 GNA - The Bonsafo Barwuah Foundation on Wednesday donated 15 wheelchairs valued at 10,500 dollars to the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport to be given to physically challenged pupils to reduce their drudgery in going to school.
Speaking on behalf of the Foundation, the Operations Manager; Charles Opoku said the Foundation was committed to enhancing the lifestyles of the physically challenged and the vulnerable in the society.

He said having easy access to education would make learning a pleasurable one to them.

He said the Foundation recognized the Ministry's efforts in bridging the gap between the physically challenged and the public.

Paapa Owusu Ankomah, Sector Minister, said the Ministry would soon allocate school buses to some selected schools in the rural areas to enable them to perform their extra curricular activities.
He expressed the hope that the wheelchairs would be used judiciously.
