CPP Will Close the Gap Between the North and South –Dr. Sakara
Audrey Micah, Ghanadot

Accra, Dec 2, Ghanadot - Dr. Abu Sakara Forster, running mate of Dr. Papa Kwesi Nduom, flag bearer of the Convention People’s Party (CPP) has stated has stated that the economic crisis facing world and especially the West is a signal that capitalism is not a sustainable economic system, adding that the system rather favour’s the rich and leaves the poor to suffer.

"We must pursue an economic system that is human centered and ensures that we are each others’ keeper." He stated.

Dr. Sakara revealed that the CPP’s policy when voted into power will ensure that the poorest people in the society, have easy accessibility to indispensable services and that their message presented in the party’s manifesto is the best as compared to the other political parties manifestos.

According to him, it is the duty of the Ghanaian to ensure that the gap between the rich and the poor and the widening gap between the rural and urban areas are closed, adding that the only party who will be able to materialize this dream is the CPP and called for people to vote massively for the party.

He noted that the only way to avoid a deterioration economic and poverty situation in the country, Ghanaians must make a wise choice by allow the CPP into office to show the nation how best they can grow the economy to make way for the poor to be able to fit in society, and called on Ghanaians to look at the governance system of the country because it determined the economic prosperity or otherwise of the country.

To him, the election of District Chief Executives (DCEs) captured in the CPP manifesto is the best and the argument that it is impossible because of the tendency for opposition people to win the slot and draw back government’s plans is untenable, adding that there were many checks and balances that would make the DCE accountable and more responsible to the people they serve.

"People will compete for the position of DEC under the CPP and be voted for on the basis of merit" and this will fast-track development instead, he argued.

The CPP running mate said the position of the party on the ballot paper is very significant to the party as the nation led by the CPP won independence on 6TH March, 1957. He said the party will once again win the elections and lift the country out of its economic woes to a more vibrant economy.

Dr. Abu Sakara called on all and sundry to make this year’s general elections, a CPP won election, so that the party can get to the Golden Jubilee House and work enthusiastically for the betterment of the country’s shattered economy.
