Thank God for saving President's life- Togbega Gabusu IV

Hohoe, Nov. 17, Ghanadot/GNA- Togbega Gabusu VI, Paramount Chief of Gbi Traditional Area on Friday said Ghanaians should be grateful to God for saving the life of President John Agyekum Kufuor, in last Wednesday's car accident.

He exhorted the entire citizenry irrespective of their political affiliation, religious belief or ethnicity to join hands to thank God for sparing the life of the President.
Togbega Gabusu speaking in an interview with the Ghana News Agency urged Churches, Mosques and traditionalists to offer a special thanksgiving to God for avoiding a national catastrophe, especially in a Golden Jubilee year.

He abhorred the carnage on the country's road networks, which he blamed on indiscipline.

Togbega Gabusu called for a national crusade to stem the carnage on the roads, saying colossal amounts of money; man-hours and other resources were lost to accidents annually.

He used the occasion to congratulate the Kufuor-administration for elevating Hohoe to its rightful status of a Municipal Assembly, saying the traditional authority and inhabitants would accordingly demonstrate their gratitude in later gestures.
