Meteors reassemble for Burkina Faso

Accra, March 22, GNA – Ghana’s Under-23 team, the Black Meteors will re-assemble on Thursday at the Ghanaman Center of Soccer Excellence, Prampram to prepare for the second leg of the Olympic Games qualifier.

The Meteors will take on their Burkinabe counterparts at the Sunyani Coronation Park on Sunday.

It would be recalled that the team broke camp last Tuesday to enable the players play for their various teams in the Onetouch premiership.

In all 19 players including two foreign based players are to assemble for camping for the game, even though it looks more like an academic exercise after Ghana was awarded three goals following the fielding of two over-aged players by the Burkinabe’s.

Among the invited players are Kotei Blankson, Eric Nii Baah, Ernest Sowah, Isaac Vorsah, Bawa Mumuni, Kofi Asamoah, Ofosu Appiah, Jerry Akaminko, Kennedy Kolley, Samson Cudjoe, Michael Akuffo, Emmanuel Allen and Baba Iddi.

The rest are Emmanuel Clottey, James Boadu, Obed Ansah, Sadat Bukari, Gilbert Ayikade and Prince Tagoe.
