CAF inspection team visits next month
Accra, April 23, GNA - Officials of the Confederation of
African Football (CAF) are scheduled to arrive in Accra on
Thursday, May 10, to begin a three-day inspection tour of
the venues and facilities being put in place for the 26th
MTN Ghana CAN 2008 Football Tournament.
The inspection tour will be the fifth official visit to
Ghana in relation to the preparations for the tournament,
since the nation was given the hosting rights.
Issues relating to medical facilities, infrastructure, and
all four areas that raised concerns during the last visit in
November are expected to take centre stage.
The areas relating to the live-feed production, training
pitches for the tournament, and external works at some of
the stadia, and the provision of accommodation for guests
were raised during that visit.
The inspection team will be led by Mr. Slim Aloulou, Member
of the CAF Executive Committee.
CAF Medical & Doping Committee Members will also be in
attendance.
