LET MY VOTE COUNT ALLIANCE PRESENTS PUBLIC FORUM ON ELECTION 2016

ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 8, 2016 IN TAMALE
The Let My Vote Count Alliance (LMVCA) will host a public forum on the theme “Protecting the Ballot; Safeguarding the Integrity of Elections in Ghana” at the Central Auditorium, University of Development Studies (UDS), Tamale.

This forum is part of a series of nationwide events hosted by LMVCA to bring together a cross-section of stakeholders to emphasize the need for the electorate to be vigilant to ensure the will of the people is upheld. Previous events, which were held in Accra and Ho were well attended and sparked the discussion on the need for vigilance in the upcoming elections.

Historically, the responsibility of protecting the ballot has been centered largely on the Electoral Commission and agents of the various political parties. However, LMVCA is calling on all Ghanaians to take up a collective responsibility to monitor the elections closely for free, fair and transparent elections. Safeguarding the integrity of elections in Ghana is so crucial to our democracy that, it is incumbent on the electorate to protect the ballot.

The distinguished speakers will highlight the electoral process and identify the various roles the electorate can play to protect the ballot and to safeguard the integrity of
elections in Ghana.

Speakers
Prof. Ken Agyeman Attafuah - Dean, Faculty of Law Central University, Criminologist
and Conflict Resolution Expert.
Dr. Richard Amoako Baah – Senior Lecturer, Department of History and Political
Studies, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.

Commentary, Nov 07, Ghanadot - There have been attempts to forge moral equivalencies between Trump and Hillary in their failings. But these attempts wouldn't hold for the rational mind.

Thoughts Before the US Elections

Commentary, October 14, Ghanadot - But I know. Many will think I am wrong because my vote, as Black, should be permanently marked as Democrat. These folks can, therefore, jettison the issues and concerns I have listed here.  I'll be glad to see in their alternatives what they have to offer and why.

DYING, DEATH and SOULS; ANOTHER NOVEMBER

Review, Nov 04, Ghanadot - November began yesterday with All Saints' Day; today is All Souls' Day.
