Ghanaians will make the Right Choice on December 28 -Akuffo Addo
Audrey Micah, Ghanadot

Accra, Dec 18, Ghanadot - Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo Addo, presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has expressed optimism about winning the December 28 run-off even though he thought the race would not be easy.

He said Ghanaians should not be worried about the split in the next Parliament because he was ready to work well with that body in order to move Ghana forward.

He commended the two Members of Parliament (MPs) from the People’s National Convention (PNC) who yesterday declared their support for him and the NPP and noted that he would not be surprised should the rest of the group do same.

Nana Akuffo Addo added that his experience over the years has made him very versatile at working across party lines.  He pointed out his involvement and active participation in bringing about democracy home for Ghanaians during the PNDC years as factors that should set him above his opponent.

According to him, the smaller parties have clearly shown the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the NPP is the only party with the real message.

“The NDC thought the smaller parties who campaigned on the platform for change will all come to their side only to be disappointed, now you can all see that is not the happening”.

He recalled that all these smaller parties during the 2000 general election were in agreement with the then need for change which saw President Kufuor as the president of Ghana.

The NPP flag bearer reiterated that the smaller parties are all supporting the NPP because they have found the inconsistencies and the critical differences within the NDCs so called message for change. Unlike the NDC, the the NPP, since 2000, has produced the needed change already.

Explaining further, Nana Akuffo Addo said the party has done what it should take to get to the the Presidential Palace, the Golden Jubilee House, and what was left was for Ghanaians to vote massively for the party.

For him, Nana Addo continued, Ghanaians have unwavering confidence in the NPP and its ability to keep the promise of development.  Thus come December 28, Ghanaians will speak loud and clear and prove their political maturity by voting the NPP to power again.
